It is arguebally believed that people today spend too much time on recreational activities, and do not spare enough time for things they are supposed to do（the question/debate要讨论的题目）. 　　1 Young people today are overall better off than their parents and are free from concerns of starvation and povety.As such , they tend to care for personal enjoyment rather than things they should do. Economic growth, combined with rapid technological advancements, has prompted an explosive growth of things for entertainment purposes,such as online games, social media ,reality TV shows and etc. Those things are desinged with the intent to atrract people's attention and are very addicitve, especially to the younger generation. In the workplace,people are constantly checking their wechat or facebook page for new messages and are not focused on their tasks at hand. In the classrooms, students are spending too much time playing mobile games,not their studies. Tiktok, a short video application popular among young people, have been downlowded hundreds of millions times.
　　2, Indeed(transition,承上启下，更加强调上面的观点）, people today are prone to being exposed and addicted to things that are of little value in the long run. They are choosing personal enjoyment over personal growth, instant gravitaion over long-term benefits.While it is understandable that people need to relax themselves through enterntainment, it is not advisable to spend too much time on it. Playing online games or poker is not likely to be helpful in gettting that promotion at work. Watching reality TV shows can help escape the reality for a while. But those things will be irrelevant in the future.

　　3,Aside from being exposed and addicted to the variety of entertainments（承上启下句，aside from引出下文）,people today are also facing fiece competion in the job market and in the higher eduction field. Those who fail or afraid to compete may quit competition and turn to personal enjoyment instead. A lot of people are stuck at jobs they dislike and just want to endulge themselves in personal enjoyment after a long day of work.
　　In conclusion, it is a matter of fact that people today are spending too much time seeking fun and comfort,for various reasons,instead of doing what they should do in order to succeed and excell.
