　　Well, I’d say I’m an independent person, so most of the time, I like to make decisions on my own. And if things don’t turn out as well as I expected, no one will take the blame but myself. It really helps me to develop my decision-making ability.
　　Anyway, speaking of an important decision made with the help of other people, it has to the choice of the university I would go. Actually, I had 2 options at that moment. One of them was a public university with more education facilities and distinguished professors, but my score was not high enough to entitle me to choose the major I like. You know, I’m always a big fan of English but a lousy leaner of math, physics and chemistry. If I chose the public university, I had to major in mechanics that I was not interested in at all. Another choice was a private university. However, at that moment, there was only 2 private universities in Shanghai and they hadn’t established their reputation yet. The campus was much smaller and there were rumors about their education quality and learning atmosphere . But the good thing was I was eligible to study English as my major there. So I was in a dilemma.
　　After a discussion with my parents, I finally chose the private university. The way I see it, it’s always better to study something that you’re passionate about. And it turned out to be a wise choice later on. Thanks to my better language skills, I distinguished myself from other candidates in the interview and got a good offer from an established company.
　　Anyway, in retrospect, it was a really good decision.
