  吃惊时 难以置信! Unbelievable! She was late for work again. (她上班又来晚了。) Unbelievable! (难以置信!) Incredible! That's unbelievable! I can't believe it! Now way! (怎么会呢!) 我吃了一惊。 I'm surprised! *用于突然发生了始料不及的事情时。 我很震惊。 I'm shocked! I'm in shock! What a shock! 太让人吃惊了!
  That's amazing! *用于吃惊得有些惊慌失措时。 I won the lottery. (我的中了。) That's amazing! (太让人吃惊了!) How about that! Wow! (哇-!) 真的? Really? *Oh, really?更强调吃惊的程度。 He said he likes you. (他说他喜欢你。) Really? (真的?) Is that right? Is that so? Oh, yeah? 你在开玩笑吧! You're kidding! You're kidding! (你在开玩笑吧!) No, I'm not. (没有,我是认真的。) You're joking! You're pulling my leg! *用pull...leg表示“嘲弄人”。

(眼见为实。) I'll believe that when it happens. (只有发生了的事我才相信。) 震惊。 A great shock. A big shock. That's a shocker. 一、次听说。 That's news to me. There's a meeting today at 5∶00. (今天五点开会。)

(我从来不知道他那么有钱。) I know, it's mind-boggling, isn't it? (他很有钱,这简直让人不敢相信,是吧?) It blew me away. 糟了! Gosh! *表示吃惊,带有“哎呀,不得了了”的语感。 Gosh! I've overslept again! (糟了!又睡过了!)
  No, not again! (没有,没到点呢!) 那条消息真让人吃惊。 We were surprised by the news. *news “新闻,消息”。 哇! Boo! *“哇!”、“啊”,吓唬人。 Boo! (哇!) That wasn't funny. (一点也不好玩!)
