　　Well, actually there are many people who are aware of protecting the environment around me，however, the person I want to talk about now is my neighbor, Yamada. As our community is some kind of international, many foreigners are living there and Yamada is one of them. To surmise from his name, you can know that he is a Japanese and he is a pretty nice guy.
　　I always heard of some news that how Japanese people protected the environment consciously, ranging from improved garbage disposal to the efforts of dealing with the nuclear plant disaster. While I have no idea that how a normal Japanese citizen is involved in environmental protection until one day I found that one of Yamada's secrets, his carry-onchopsticks, at the community party.
　　I have been to Japan several times and I know , although they do good in garbage classification, people here are still using throwaway chopsticks. That's why I was curious about the Yamada's chopsticks and I talked with him . The neighbor told me except the carry-on tableware, he is used to carry a green canvas bag instead of plastic bags. He also said that there are many Japanese people carring the garbage when they go out, and handle such things at home, like classification and disposal. But the habit of using throwaway chopsticks is hard to be shifted thoroughly in recent years.
　　When he began his new life and work in China two years ago, and was puzzled by the unclassified trash, some people even threw the litter everywhere. In this situation, he would pick the litter and threw it into the classified dustbin. What makes him happy is that things are changing positively, more people in China care about the environment.
　　Talk about the challenge, Yamada thinks that is the smoking ban in China only works indoor, not outdoor. He knows the cigarette industry means a lot for the tax income of a nation，but , it does harm the air and health. As an individual, he can do nothing of banning smoking.However, I still think he is a man who loves life and is willing to do any effortsto change the world, and I am influenced by him, trying to use the caryy-on chopsticks.
