　　A couple of days ago, a new senior’s home was built not far away from our university. This is a good opportunity for us to show our love and care to senior citizens, especially those who have no children. The Students’ Affair Department is appealing for you to take part in volunteer work in this senior’s home this Sunday.
　　At 9:00, we will assemble at the gate of the home. Our activities will include cleaning of the senior’s home, doing some laundry, and performing some programs for the old people. If you are interested and have these kind of skills, please contact us at students@abc.edu.cn.

　　Directions:
　　Suppose your department is goingto initiate a research project on Environmental Studies. Write an email to your department to
　　1) enquire about relevant information of the project, and
　　2) ask how you can join the project.

　　You should write about 100 words on the ANSWER SHEET.
　　Do notsign your own name at the end of the letter. Use “Li Ming” instead.

　　As a student of this department, I am writing to enquire about the research project on Environmental Studies. Besides the information posted on the website, I would like to know more details.
　　First, I would appreciate it so much if you could provide me more specific introductions of the professors who will participate. Second, could you tell me what research programs do you have now? Third, as I am quite interested in environmental studies, I am very eager to participate in this project. SoI would be much obliged to you if you could send me the detailed requirements about the application process.
