　　考研英语外刊精读，大家可以先回顾一下前面几段内容。 外刊阅读也是要经常回顾复习的，精读过的外刊只有理解消化了，那么随着阅读的理解，词汇量、语感和阅读能力才会逐步提高。如果只是走马观花地去读，也没有认真复习回顾，读得再多，阅读能力也难以显著提升。

　　2、Arizona是美国的亚利桑那州。美国的州名我们遇到过不少，大家当作常识记忆一下，还可以查一下地图看看大概位置。
　　3、sum up短语意为“总结，概括”。
　　4、the status quo意为“现状”，这个词来源于拉丁语。
　　5、threaten是动词，意为“威胁”，threat是其名词形式。
　　6、disregard是动词，意为“不顾，漠视”，也可以作名词。
　　7、the rule of law视作固定搭配，意为“法治”。uphold the rule of law意为“维治”。
　　8、neglect是动词，意为“忽视，忽略”，跟上面的disregard是近义词。
　　9、humanitarian是形容词，意为“人道的，博爱的”。
