　　I'd like to talk about tennis, my favorite outdoor activity. I started learning tennis when I was 16 years old. It was difficult at first, but got better as I practiced. Tennis is a sport usually played between two players or between two teams of two players each. Each player uses a racket that is strung to strike a hollow rubber ball and trys to make the ball fall into the opponent’s court. Tennis is an Olympic sport and is played at all levels of society at all ages. The sport can be played by anyone who can hold a racket, including people in wheel chairs. I myself have seen disabled people play tennis. They sit in specially-designed wheelchairs and their rules are a bit different, such as hitting the ball back after it bounces twice. Tennis is enjoyed by millions of recreational players and is also a hugely popular worldwide spectator sport, especially the four Grand Slam tournaments: the Australian Open played on hard courts, the French Open played on red clay courts, and Wimbledon played on grass courts. I often watch tennis games with some of my friends, who are also interested in playing. We all think it's a very elegant sport and it's entertaining, educational and teaches us team spirit.
